ICA has been rescuing girls internationally from sex trafficking since December 2006. In October 2008, ICA met with federal law enforcement to discuss sex trafficking in the United States. As a result of these meetings and learning over 300,000 American children are at risk of being trafficked for sexual exploitation (U.S. Dept. of State), ICA decided to open Safe Homes in the U.S.

ICA has since been working to open our first U.S. Safe Home in St. Louis, MO. The home has been secured and most of the funds raised. The first U.S. home will consist of 6-8 beds and incorporate a complete holistic approach of rehabilitation for girls ages 17-24 years old. ICA is working closely with federal and local law enforcement officials for the identification and placement of these girls. ICA hopes to become the first choice of where to send girls that they rescue during law enforcement operations. Once the first home is operational and going well, ICA plans to next begin working on a Safe Home for American minors (under 17 years old).
